Pinsa Romana is a type of pizza base that is quickly gaining popularity. As the name would suggest, Pinsa Romana comes from Rome and is made from a blend of different flours including wheat flour, rice flour and soy flour, this makes it beautifully crispy and really easy to digest.
These flat breads are incredibly tasty and really versatile, you can simply drizzle them with olive oil, sprinkle over some rosemary and salt crystals and enjoy them as they are. Or you can easily top them and create you own pizzas that will knock socks off any bought in pizza that you'd find in the supermarket.
To cook them, fully defrost at room temperature (about 30 minutes) and then cook in a hot oven for about 3 - 5 minutes.

Great produce, great service can’t be faulted in any way, next order on it’s way soon
So Good ! So Eaay, fast and delicious.
The whole family enjoyed making pizzas and the bases didn't disappoint! they are light, crispy and totally delicious!!! I also used a couple to serve as fabulous garlic bread oozing in garlic butter to accompany a chicken and chorizo risotto made with Ben's very convenient frozen risotto rice mmmmmmm
I’d heard these were good but I was still surprised by just how great these pizza bases are. So easy, pop a couple out of the freezer 30 mins before cooking, pop on some topping and away you go. Our oven only goes up to about 240 so they did take a little longer than they would in a hotter oven or on a pizza stone. Crispy, cooked all the way through, really tasty and honestly better than most pizzas I’ve paid for in a restaurant. They don’t look that big but we might just have to share next time we do these as they’re quite filling.
The bases come in frozen packs of six but v easy to slide one or two out. You don’t have to defrost all six to separate them.
Turns out that pizzas in a regular oven are tricky. In fact, after multiple , relatively abortive attempts, we gave up the idea as a bad job.
I then spoke to Ben while grabbing my order.
He told me that we should have added these to what we had already bought, so I did! I had a crack at pizza that night. They are, quite simply, the best pizza bases I've ever tried. You just take the bases out of the freezer and leave for about 30 mins, heat up your oven and baking tray, whack a few ingredients on the bases (Ben's videos are useful) and throw them in.
A proper crispy base and perfectly cooked pizza with the sort of result I've only experienced in a pizza restaurant before. Super super good. I'll buy these lots. Also very good for kids because, no matter how small, they can take part in the cooking of their supper.
Thanks so much for your great review Marcus, really glad you like our Pinsa Romana too! Much appreciated, Ben and Alice
