Pinsa Romana is a type of pizza base that is quickly gaining popularity. As the name would suggest, Pinsa Romana comes from Rome and is made from a blend of different flours including wheat flour, rice flour and soy flour, this makes it beautifully crispy and really easy to digest.
These flat breads are incredibly tasty and really versatile, you can simply drizzle them with olive oil, sprinkle over some rosemary and salt crystals and enjoy them as they are. Or you can easily top them and create you own pizzas that will knock socks off any bought in pizza that you'd find in the supermarket.
To cook them, fully defrost at room temperature (about 30 minutes) and then cook in a hot oven for about 3 - 5 minutes.

These are really good value...the pizza base can make or break a good pizza. This proper Italian base thaws in less than 30 minutes from frozen, enough time to preheat the oven and sort out your toppings. I combine it with Somerset Foodie’s Nduja, some tomato purée, good chopped tomatoes like their Mutti Polpa, and then add mozzarella, cheddar, meats, artichoke hearts, anchovies, whatever you like! Not tried it with their Burrata yet, that’s next! They’re healthier and tastier than even the best supermarket brands and being frozen they make a really easy meal with toppings from your fridge and cupboard! We’re on our second lot. Buy them, you won’t be disappointed!
These are the best pizza bases I've ever bought. The crust has a lovely crunch before the delicious soft dough. I can also highly recommend the Mutti Tomato Polpa and the Nduja paste to go with whichever toppings you choose. As good as, if not better than, restaurant pizza. I make sure I always have a supply in the freezer!
Used in place of home made and rolled dough and passed the test with flying colours. Worked well in a bbq pizza oven which can be much hotter than a domestic oven. Will stick to these in future.
Amazing pizza bases, my fussy teenager ate it without any complaints! A real win!
