Poke bowls have become really popular in the last few years and although the seasonings of traditional poke are very Japanese influenced, the dish originates in Hawaii. The make up of a poke bowl generally starts with a base of rice, either sticky rice or brown rice. This is then topped with raw, marinated fish (tuna is really popular) and then your choice of additions, generally raw vegetables such as avocado, radishes, cucumber, cabbage, chillies and seaweed.
