Pinsa Romana is an amazing type of thin crust pizza base from Rome. Each one is hand made using sourdough cultures and a blend of different flours that allows you to make your own artisan tasting pizza, at home, using a conventional oven.
These sourdough flatbread bases are incredibly tasty and really versatile, you can simply drizzle them with olive oil, sprinkle over some rosemary and salt crystals and enjoy them as they are. Or you can easily top them and create you own pizzas that will knock socks off any frisbee style bases that you'd find in the supermarket.
To cook them, fully defrost at room temperature (about 30-45 minutes) and then cook in a hot oven (220-240°C). You will always get a better result by placing the pinsa onto a hot baking tray or pizza stone.

Ingredients: Type ‘0’ soft wheat flour, rice flour, soyabean flour, water,
sourdough starter 5% (Type ‘00’ wheat flour, water starter cultures), salt
sunflower oil, dried sourdough wheat (wheat flour, water, yeast)
We aim to process every order within 24hrs (Mon-Fri). Orders placed after 12pm will generally be processed the following day.
Once your order has been packed, standard delivery takes 48hrs once it leaves our warehouse, we do have an express option which is 24hrs and is recommended when ordering any chilled items.
We can mail order ambient and chilled ingredients to the whole of the UK, including all of The Scottish Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland.
Unfortunately, we cannot mail order frozen items.
All shipments are tracked, we use a combination of The Royal Mail and DPD, tracking numbers are emailed to you for each order.
Our shipping rates depend on the weight of your order and start from £3.99 shipping rates are calculated at checkout.
All the packaging we use is compostable or just paper and cardboard that can easily
be disposed of in your kerbside recycling. (Chilled items are sent in temperature controlled pouches with ice packs
which are not compostible but can be reused).

We each chose our own toppings and creative designs - completely delicious and very satisfying! Half a pizza is a generous portion by the way… so I still have 3 bases in the freezer! Thank you Ben

These are the best frozen bases you can get. Very versatile with whatever topping you prefer and always tastes like the base is freshly made . Once tried..never forgotten

I really enjoyed these peppers, they’re a nice reminder of pintxos in Bilbao. Very nice!
Pizza base, Mutti Tomato Polpa, Fior mozzarella ball and a tin of sardines all from Somerset Foodie with some olives and other oddments from home enabled my grandchildren (who are pizza connoisseurs!) my daughter and I to have the most delicious pizzas over Easter.
