Loaded with natural sweetness, just 30g of these equals one of your five a day. Add them chopped to cereal and flapjacks for an energy boost. They are the key ingredient in the family favourite, sticky toffee pudding, dates also make an awesome chutney for cheese or simply dipped in chocolate for an afterdinner treat.
ALL Somerset Foodie raw ingredients are packed in 100% compostable bags with biodegradable paper labels. The trade off for caring about the planet is that our bags are slightly more fragile than you'll be used to, so we recommend you pop the ingredients into an airtight container when you get them home.

But these are packaged in an environment where nuts are handled.
We aim to process every order within 24hrs (Mon-Fri). Orders placed after 12pm will generally be processed the following day.
Once your order has been packed, standard delivery takes 48hrs once it leaves our warehouse, we do have an express option which is 24hrs and is recommended when ordering any chilled items.
We can mail order ambient and chilled ingredients to the whole of the UK, including all of The Scottish Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland.
Unfortunately, we cannot mail order frozen items.
All shipments are tracked, we use a combination of The Royal Mail and DPD, tracking numbers are emailed to you for each order.
Our shipping rates depend on the weight of your order and start from £3.99 shipping rates are calculated at checkout.
All the packaging we use is compostable or just paper and cardboard that can easily
be disposed of in your kerbside recycling. (Chilled items are sent in temperature controlled pouches with ice packs
which are not compostible but can be reused).
Always plump and juicy. Much better value than the supermarkets
Before Christmas we bought pitted dates and dried figs and had them on their own as 'treats', they took my husband back to his early childhood and his grandfather's grocery shop. We then discovered how good the dates were when added to other things. We have just bought more to continue having those pleasures! Highly recommended
Love these great value dates in their biodegradable packaging. Perfect for adding to home made granola, or for blitzing up with nuts and seeds to make energy ball snacks.

Pizza base, Mutti Tomato Polpa, Fior mozzarella ball and a tin of sardines all from Somerset Foodie with some olives and other oddments from home enabled my grandchildren (who are pizza connoisseurs!) my daughter and I to have the most delicious pizzas over Easter. We each chose our own toppings and creative designs - completely delicious and very satisfying! Half a pizza is a generous portion by the way… so I still have 3 bases in the freezer! Thank you Ben

Following Ben's recipe, I used the Asturian Meat Stew Pack to make a really tasty fabada and it was very well received.

The raisins really are huge. Such a wonderful taste. I use them instead of sultanas.
