Paiarrop Dark Chocolate Dipped Candied Orange, 150g

Paiarrop Dark Chocolate Dipped Candied Orange is made from Salustiana oranges grown in the Valencia region of Spain, slowly candied in syrup and then half-dipped in palm oil-free dark chocolate. Paiarrop is a small Valencian producer making traditional Mediterranean sweets and fruit pastes from local almonds, honey and seasonal fruit. Candying keeps the fruit soft, sticky and full of juicy orange flavour, and the bittersweet chocolate balances the sweetness with a darker, richer edge. Each piece has a lovely contrast of tangy, sweet and gently bitter.

These are the kind of thing you put out at the end of a meal and watch quietly disappear. Serve them with a strong espresso, or with a small glass of Pedro Ximénez sherry.
