El Yucateco Extra Hot Habanero Salsa is made using an ancient Mayan recipe where the chillies are crushed. This sauce was awarded by Fiery Foods Magazine as the best tasting hot sauce in the Scovie Awards.
When we eat hot chillies the body naturally releases endorphins that cause a physical 'rush' and keeps us craving for more. This is the El Yucateco chilli sauce that blows your head off! With habaneros grown in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, the home of the Habanero, the flavour of this sauce is outstanding.

Ingredients: Habanero peppers (40%), water, tomato, salt, onion, acidity regulator (acetic acid), (E260), partially hydrogenated canola oil, spices, antioxidant (citric acid), (E330), preservatives: sodium benzoate (E260), stabilizer: xanthan gum E415.
We aim to process every order within 24hrs (Mon-Fri). Orders placed after 12pm will generally be processed the following day.
Once your order has been packed, standard delivery takes 48hrs once it leaves our warehouse, we do have an express option which is 24hrs and is recommended when ordering any chilled items.
We can mail order ambient and chilled ingredients to the whole of the UK, including all of The Scottish Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland.
Unfortunately, we cannot mail order frozen items.
All shipments are tracked, we use a combination of The Royal Mail and DPD, tracking numbers are emailed to you for each order.
Our shipping rates depend on the weight of your order and start from £3.99 shipping rates are calculated at checkout.
All the packaging we use is compostable or just paper and cardboard that can easily
be disposed of in your kerbside recycling. (Chilled items are sent in temperature controlled pouches with ice packs
which are not compostible but can be reused).
El Yucateco’s XXXtra Hot Kutbil-ik is the best commercial hot sauce I’ve found as a daily all-rounder. There may be much hotter sauces out there but Kutbil-ik has a fantastic flavour that’s rich and full of depth, with a decent warming heat and a zingy acidity. The base for Kutbil-ik comes from crushing whole roasted habaneros which is different to how other sauces are generally made, and it shows. It’s versatile and delicious and has gone with every meal I’ve tried it with so far. It’s not an artisanal or “craft” hot sauce but it’s cheap, hot and tasty, takes breakfast and lunch to the next level and doesn’t overwhelm food.
Somerset Foodie are also brilliant - my order was well packaged (each bottle was well-wrapped in a recyclable stretchy cardboard to stop breakages) and arrived the next day. Thank you Ben and Alice!

Pizza base, Mutti Tomato Polpa, Fior mozzarella ball and a tin of sardines all from Somerset Foodie with some olives and other oddments from home enabled my grandchildren (who are pizza connoisseurs!) my daughter and I to have the most delicious pizzas over Easter. We each chose our own toppings and creative designs - completely delicious and very satisfying! Half a pizza is a generous portion by the way… so I still have 3 bases in the freezer! Thank you Ben

Following Ben's recipe, I used the Asturian Meat Stew Pack to make a really tasty fabada and it was very well received.

The raisins really are huge. Such a wonderful taste. I use them instead of sultanas.
