Deseo's hazelnut and chocolate cantuccini biscuits are seriously good. Made in their bakery, near Florence, I can't think of any moment in the day when one (or two) wouldn't improve my situation. They are beautifully boxed and make perfect gifts, if you can bear to give them away.
Cantuccini biscuits are traditionally eaten with a glass of Vinsanto but also great with coffee or tea. They are slightly smaller than cantucci biscuits and are sometimes referred to as biscotti, although cantuccini biscuits are from Tuscany whereas biscotti tend to originate from the Emilia-Romagna.
