Fratelli Contorno Salsa Pronta di Pomodorino Datterino is a rich, ready-to-use Italian tomato sauce made from sweet Datterino tomatoes grown under the Sicilian sun. Naturally rich and full of flavour, this sauce captures the freshness and sweetness of just-picked tomatoes. Classically made with a soffritto as the base (onion, carrot, celery), extra virgin olice oil and a touch of basil.
Crafted in Palermo by Fratelli Contorno, a family-run producer since 1916, this sauce embodies over a century of Italian passion and expertise. It’s made simply, with no artificial additives, using only the finest local ingredients to preserve the true flavour of Sicily’s best tomatoes.
Perfect for tossing through fresh pasta, layering into lasagne, spooning over grilled fish, or using as a base for homemade pizza – this is Italian cooking at its simplest and most authentic.
