Tomatoes are one of the most celebrated ingredients in Italian cooking. The Mutti chopped tomato really maintains all the flavour of freshly harvested tomatoes. They are chopped much finer than normal canned tomatoes which gives them a more pulpy consistency and intense flavour.
We open a can of Mutti to smother over our Pinsa Romana Sourdough pizza bases at home. This tomato pulp is much more like an instant tomato sauce than the watery, tasteless tins of tomato pulp you buy in the supermarkets.
