Dr. Nature Whole Urid Dal, 1kg
Urid Dal, sometimes spelt Urad Dal are black lentils that are commonly used in Indian cuisine. When cooked, they have a creamy texture with a nutty flavour and it's the key ingredient for black daal that's so popular in the Dishoom cook book.
Wash the lentils thoroughly in cold water and soak them overnight, then simmer for 2-3 hours until the lentils are soft and tender.
Urid dal are a rich source of protein, fiber and other essential minerals such as potassium, iron and folate.
