Black eyed beans, also known as cowpeas, are a type of bean that are popular in many cuisines around the world. They are great in soups, stews and curries.
To cook black eyed beans, wash them under running water, then soak in cold water for 6 hours, or over night. Then simmer the beans for around 1 hour, until the beans are soft and tender.
