Preserved Mustard Stem, 80g


Preserved mustard stem is made from the knobbly, swollen stem of a type of mustard green. It's made and eaten right across China but the most famous is made in Chongqing, within the Sichuan province.

It's a really delicious crunchy pickled vegetable that's slightly sour, slightly salty with lots of umami flavours. It can just be eaten as a condiment with rice or mixed through noodle dishes to layer up the flavours and textures.

Ingredients: Preserved vegetable (stem mustard), salt, rapeseed oil, food additives (flavour [MSG, E631], acid [E330], sugar, sesame oil, spices.
