As an island nation it seems absurd that a huge amount of our nation's catch goes abroad and that fishmongers are now a rare species. Maybe that's down to less and less counter space for fresh fish at the supermarket? Or perhaps we lack confidence when it comes to cooking it? Fish is healthy, really tasty and can be the original 'fast food'.
In this informal cooking workshop our aim is for you to get confident at handling and cooking fish. We will take you through the process of filleting whole fish, using different cooking methods and preparing easy sauces to elevate your creations. At the end of the session we will all sit down and enjoy a wonderful feast.
The evening will take place in the relaxed surroundings at our own kitchen in Norton St Philip and will start at 6:30pm, lasting for approximately 3.5 hours. We are limited to 6 places so it's a lovely relaxed evening, don't forget to bring a few drinks.
