Have you heard about Root Connections? Introducing this fantastic local, not-for-profit Community Interest Company, selling fresh, chemical free produce with a positive social impact. Their mission is to help end rural homelessness by improving the health and wellbeing of adults with complex needs - primarily those who are homeless and rough sleeping in and around the Mendips.
Root Connections run a community garden in Stratton on the Fosse, just a few miles from the Somerset Foodie warehouse from which you can buy wonderful, seasonal vegetable bags and fresh, farm-grown cut flowers; they deliver within a 12 mile radius of their community garden (postcode BA3 4QF).
All profits and proceeds go straight back into their amazing project. Their produce is grown to organic principles, without the use of pesticides or chemicals. They use organic compost and seeds. To order a vegetable bag or fresh cut flowers, please follow this link.
Here at Somerset Foodie, we are really proud to be foodie friends with <<Root Connections>>. If you'd like to volunteer at the garden, or want to say hello, you can contact Sue Cross-Bourton using this form.
