Somerset Foodie

First time making a Thai Green Curry with the Maesri green curry paste, the coconut milk, Thai Jasmine rice & sweet chilli sauce all sourced from yourselves. We were 8 people dining and I wanted something easy to prepare. I did a dummy run the week before and found the paste to be so flavoursome with a nice kick that suited me and my husband but decided to reduce the amount of paste used to tone down the spice a little bit to ensure it suited all palettes. The second time of cooking I actually made it the day before, slowly reheated the next day to avoid the coconut milk splitting and added precooked al dente green beans (substituted instead of the recommend eggplant) to heat through just before serving. It was absolutely delicious with very authentic flavour, one guest said it’s the best Thai curry he’s ever tasted and he’s 80! Pizza base, Mutti Tomato Polpa, Fior mozzarella ball and a tin of sardines all from Somerset Foodie with some olives and other oddments from home enabled my grandchildren (who are pizza connoisseurs!) my daughter and I to have the most delicious pizzas over Easter. We each chose our own toppings and creative designs - completely delicious and very satisfying! Half a pizza is a generous portion by the way… so I still have 3 bases in the freezer! Thank you Ben

Following Ben's recipe, I used the Asturian Meat Stew Pack to make a really tasty fabada and it was very well received.

The raisins really are huge. Such a wonderful taste. I use them instead of sultanas.

Bought these after first trying at a Foodie tasting session. Truly delicious chips, they are crisp and full of flavour. Bought them to scoop up our homemade Baba Ganoush (see Ben’s recipe) and will be back for more…gone are the days of supermarket alternatives.

The Roasted Hazelnuts from Somerset Foodie have a particular quality. Very more-ish!

Seriously surprised how delicious and perfectly two- bite sized these were! A gyoza dipping sauce alongside and a glass of wine….perfect! (Bibigo microwave sticky rice is crazy good!)

My friend was delighted with her voucher and the choice of items. The reason I choose Somerset Foodie for the voucher, was that I really pleased with my own purchases. I also liked the website, the variety and value.

This is a larger jar of delicious chipotle chilli flakes, which makes it great value. The quality and smokey, warm flavour is super - either in a traditional chill con carne, sprinkled on scrambled eggs, or in guacamole.
